The piles are about 4 hours of splitting by myself The second picture is a gnarly beech round that this thing cut. My old 30 ton yard machine would never have touched it. I do not work for American, but I have to say I am beyond impressed For those that can shell out the big dollars, look no further. IMG_5381.JPG IMG_5378.JPG

What's the tonnage on that? And the cost? My back is still sore from hand splitting on Saturday

I think it's 24 or 25 ton, but true force not calculated like yard machines for example. I upgraded the motor, bed size, added lift, fenders, and the tray, removable tongue. A little over $5k was the damage. But it starts with one pull, splits everything and cut my splitting time in half. I burn at least 10 cords annually, so for me it makes sense.

CLS doesn't advertise by splitting force . It's always grossly exaggerated anyway .
I've had a 25hh for years ,it's been great . Did turn up the pressure to 2800 ,as they come set at 2200-2250 ( product liability ? ) .Also added a gauge and larger tank a bout a year ago . Never found anything it wouldn't lift ,or split at the original settings . I do think believe the original tank is too small for a 16pm pump .Just had to give in to my inner tinkerer.
If I were in the market again , I'd give CLS the first look . Not inexpensive , but not near Timber Wolf $$ .

    Those splitters are heavy duty.

I spent two hours tonight shopping for a splitter, still haven't decided on which one.

I like the big tires on the American CLS splitter.
