I live about ten minutes from cabelas, and they always have something for $9.99-$10.99. I always grab a couple when I'm there, so I have a couple thousand rounds of various brands.

I saw this at a shop about a week ago. Stove base with live edge plank attached.
I'm not sure of it as it was a bit low to the floor.

That's a good price, esp for a grocery store, probably shedders though, and chixs. I prefer chix shedders, we had a mess of them last week, $3.50/lb off the boat.

Oh yeah! They even get less expensive after labor day. Now I suppose that 4.99 a lb it's for "chicks" only. For those that are not aware of the term, a chicken, or chick lobster is a 1 lb or less lobster. Over there 1 lb mark, they get more expensive, mostly because there's more meat per lb the bigger the lobstahhhhhh.

My wife and I are planning a Maine/NH trip right after labor day. I haven't been back since 2004, and she's never been to either state.

All this has me dropping for lobster, clam bake, lobster rolls, whole belly fried clams, all that good stuff.

You prefer them softshell? 3.50 a lb is great, and I would love to buy them straight off the boat. I never did that when I lived there.

Gotta love Market Basket. We got them at the boat landing in Harrington (Ripley Neck) many years back, also at a big wholesaler's pier, but I think it's closed now.
