Will it be a frigid and snowy winter? Some think if you get a ton of rain in the summer that the upcoming winter you won't get much snow.

I think we're in for a very cold winter in our area with a ton of snow. Except the pine for the shoulder season, we have our Maples,Beech,Ironwood and Oak which will be burned this year.

Every year, no matter what happens in the preceding seasons, 99 lbs gets swamped with all the unofficial weather forecasts.

    Record snowfall.
    Record cold.
    Record snowfall and cold.
    Record mild winter.
    No snow.
    Etc etc.

    Just hafta wait and see!

I just recently rotated out the snow tires for summer tires on the wife's car.
I'm not gonna think about doing it again for a while. Now,... if the rain would just ease up, I'd be happier.

100% chance of weather, I just checked my AccuWeather and it's been 100%accurate every day so far so I'd say that's a safe bet. planning around that is what I'll be doing.

I'll be prepared, that's all I know. So I don't care what it does this winter.

The days will be shorter and the nights longer. The weatherman will be wrong about a major snowstorm that he's predicting. The media will go to a hardware store and report people are buying salt and shovels for the first snowstorm. They will also go to a tire store where all of the morons waited until the last minute to get there snow tires. They will then interview a plow truck driver. People will run to the grocery store and buy everything off the shelves because they think they will be snowed in for a month.
I will enjoy winter come what may!

Well if history serves correctly, we usually have active, memorable winters following a "no El Nino" summer....and there's no El Nino this summer, so I've got my fingers crossed that we get WHACKED!!!

The forecast here for the next week is in the high 70s/low 80s. Much cooler than normal. It was like this about 3-4 years ago and that winter was one of the coldest and snowiest in recent memory. I hope its not a repeat of that this year.

Think we're due for a blizzard!

Nothing beats legally being able to ride a snowmobile down state roads during state of emergency!!!!

    Pile it deep and high.

A good early cold snap can freeze up the lakes and streams then bury us in snow!!!!!

I want enough miles on the sled to justify buying a new one!!!!

We've had back to back mild winters so one has to expect it will be colder. How much colder though is the tough question. As for snowfall, we've had 3 years in a row with very little snow except for one big one 3 years ago. But most of that winter was not bad at all.

Best forecast (or advice) for everyone is to be prepared for what could happen if it is a bad winter. Then it matters not.
