Now, some people think that selfies with animals in the background are cool. Folks that get it, like you, know better.

I haven't gone to bed yet as we sat through 15 innings to see the Blue Jays lose. Are you still awake yooperdave ? Or just getting up?

Yeah and it is hard to get up and get doing the next day. Hopefully it won't be a 15 inning game again tonight.

Another gorgeous looking day out there but there is a bit of rain in the forecast. Made in and most importantly made it out again from the sewing room and got started on a project. I hope to work on it again today. Now there is a project than probably needs a few days (weeks?) to do is to clean out and reorganize the sewing room. Everyone talks about their garage projects - I think the sewing room is my garage project.

Hot and sticky weather for the rest of the week (95ish with heat index of 106ish). Good thing I have a couple indoor projects to pass the time.

Weeks like this I hate my gig. Monday I prepped a mulch job. I'm on a long day 2 of mowing in this crapoh sticky mess. ( lunch now...in the ac at least)
Thursday and Fri I'll be slinging mulch. Sunday outside all day teaching a pistol class. No rest for the wicked, I guess.

Mulch + sweat = hella dirty. Back in my landscape days it seems like we'd always be laying sod in this weather. You'd sweat so much and the sod dirt was so fine you'd get mud on the inside of your jeans. Good times.

Started out the day picking wild blackberries. Picked about a quart. They should be coming on heavily in the next week.
Was going to whack down some of my weeds. But, my God was it hot. Delayed that job until the sun starts to go down.
Went to the garden and "Picked a peck of pickled peppers." Well not a peck and not pickled. They are now. Canned up 4 quarts of peppers.

Today was ridiculous at work. We got everything done though, despite the unreasonable requests.

Enjoying a rum and coke now.

Sounds good, but I don't have any coke. I do have some 7-up. Maybe fill the glass with some ice and then decide. Rum and 7 or whiskey and 7.
