This reminds me of coming home from a wedding out of state a couple years ago, hung over like a new frat boy. Stopped to pick up the dog from overnight boarding, saw a pile of rounds down by the road.. Tossed the suitcase in the back seat and loaded up the back of my wife's Trailblazer until it was just about on the bumpstops with my head going off like the guns on a battleship.

She just looked at me. I said "hey, YOU'RE the one who had to spend $50 to kennel the dog! I'm just making our money back!" It didn't fly, but vacuuming out the car closed that rift. :D

Only if they came from organic, sustainably sourced gophers. It makes them feel like they're really doing something for the planet.

No wood snobbery for me. I won't turn down anything free either.

Used to rake the yard and fill my old wood boiler with every stick, twig, rotten chunk, leaf, bark and weed I raked up. It was probably not even worthy of a bonfire, but it saved me on more than one night of having to put the good stuff in the firebox.

Even meat scraps give off heat eventually.
