Nice that you could get 'em in almost the length needed. No joints is gooder. Do they require a gap for expansion? Never worked with the stuff.
To have it and not need it is better to need it and not have it... BTW bogydave... Trex isn't as maintenance free as claimed. I'm sure you've read up on it.

LOL Working at "senior speed" Removing the old boards taking more time than I figured Rusty bolts with frozen nuts I used galvanized nails, several heads pulling thru the boards trying to save some of the deck boards + learning curve
Lot of nail heads breaking off on the old boards, Most time is prep, broken nail heads .... new deck boards go down pretty fast On South side ::: hot & sunny work spot 6 left to install & fit around furnace pipe. But looking good & no more splinters or painting !!!!!
My parents had this stuff installed about 15 years ago...what we notice is that the screws have made cracks at the ends about two inches from the edge and radiates out to the edge from the screw zone. This stuff doesn't seem to handle oil really well, Ive pressure washed my parents deck several times it doesn't move. On the other hand Im not sure its specifically oil like grease or something that came from cooking. Just an FYI, I wonder if there's a sealant you could try to prevent such. Not known to me but I love the deck in general as it stays really keen as far as exposure goes. Keep a block of it away from light and you'll see the difference if you get a lot of sun. Makes me wonder about the UV but seems to hold up in that regard. Looking good Bogy.
