Got home from work and decided to cut a little tonight. Great weather for it! Mustered up some locust and elm, nice dry stuff that is ready to burn. I figure with the way this weather has been going we'll be burning until at least July . A quick picture with my Stihl MS241C on its second tank. Very happy with this saw, a little lighter than any 50cc saw that I have had, but has 50cc power to boot. Very impressive saw!
I got 3 of those trailer loads, a little more heaped up than in the picture. A little less than a half cord from a rough guesstimate. I typically cut and stack my wood a year ahead, but I have burned far more this year than I did last year or the year before. I don't have much left, and this stuff should give me at least another few weeks (I am hoping). Not too bad for one chain sharpening and one tank full of fuel.
Maybe one of these days. Actually, I think it would be easier than how I do pictures. I hope to take a lot of pics and vid of the upcoming GTG. "Live action footage" maybe . I probably need to get off my butt and get another couple loads out today. I heard we are supposed to get hammered with snow this weekend again. I think my prediction might be right about burning through July .
Say it ain't so......I had a goal of 4 truckloads for the weekend and was hoping for very little snow cover. The tight logging trails get a little tricky when you can't see the ground
Great pics...cool saw !!! I tell ya.....those little zippy saws are addicting ! Always surprises me at how much my lil Dolmar has cut at the end of a cutting session ! At the GTG...ill hand you a beer...if you hand me the saw to make a few cuts
Sounds like a plan buddy, Coke is my drink of choice . Really looking forward to meeting all of you guys.
Thank you. That is my dad's Honda Rancher, real nice running quad. I bought him that chainsaw/bow/gun holder a few years ago. Only thing I did wrong was not buy two of them! I got it on some sort of closeout, and cant get over how well its made. I haven't seen another like it, but when I do I'll snag it up.
Couple cords here, couple more to go. Mostly ash this year, but might snatch up some more locust for those cold spells in February.
