High winds here 2 nights ago took down a branch in our neighbor's yard. I cut it up for them, they hauled away the brush and they were kind to let me have the keepers. Silver maple I think. Not a lot, but it all adds up. Hooray for hydraulic splitters. Stacked waiting for wind & sun.
Sweet! its actually hard to figure out the amount by looking at the rounds, the split finished work gives a better idea of it! Nice work Gark!
Nice haul. I find sometimes I get hard on my self for only getting a half truck load or just shy of a full load but I have to remind myself that every lil bit helps,
Another day of staying warm as I try to put myself in that mindset. Settling in will be where it counts. Sometimes even the smallest of scrounges are a payday!
Just shows that Mother Nature can be our friends even if she does some damage. Nice to have good neighbors too. That's good for at least one Attaboy Gark!
Nice haul - another bite off the ol' elephant. If I passed up single load scrounges, it would be pretty chilly in the winter here. Gotta take what you can get when you can get it!
