Thank you all, you all are great.

Had no idea about the different fuel/oil mixture.
This is only my 2nd "nice" saw if you want to call my ms290 nice..
Definitely my first modded saw also.
Going to pick up a 16 and 18" bar for it.
Planning on keeping the 20" on the ms290.
It does fine for what i do. I take it easy on it and it gets the job done.
When it poops the bed i'll be looking for a 60+cc saw.

You remember that a year from now when you come back blaming all of us cause you have 10 saws and 6 of them are ported... I'll say, hey, remember back last July?? Congrats on the new saw, I'm sure you'll enjoy it!

I'd save the $$ and stick to just one or the other as far as bar size goes. I think you will find that even with a 16", you won't be picking up that 290 for much anymore. The JRed will be more powerful than a stock 290 for sure. It may seem like it's all in good fun when these guys joke about selling the 290, but they're right. You'll be on the hunt for something 60-70cc in no time.

    Happy sawing!

The 2lb difference between this bad boy and my stihl is immediately noticeable.

Going to buy it a light weight bar to carry on the weight savings.
