    But as stated on the tag, it's "all natural", and "portable" with the attached rope handle....that's got to be worth something! Look at the small print- "It's firewood, only easier!" Good God. :picard:

    Anyone that lives near a campground should buy one and cross section it to see what's inside, then make them from oak and sell them on the side of the road for $10.00 to the weekend outdoorsmen.

    But then again, there's always a market for country products to city slickers. God bless the entrepreneur for putting in the work, creating some jobs and making a profit. Good for them.

    This is a good idea. I have a bunch of odd-sized rounds that are too short / too knotted to split / a little ugly. Add some plunge cuts and let them season and voila - I can use them without a ton of waste. Sell the pretty ones.

    That's assuming I don't shred too many bars and chains in the process.

    There isn't anything inside. Just the cuts to let the air in.
    Start a fire on top and hot coals drop inside and keep it burning. Simple.
    You could even put the fire out and start another later.

    That looks like birch
    I'm guessing,
    The cut all the way thru allows enough air to keep it from rotting in the center
    But betting still a year+ to season well

    When the bark ignites, gonna get some hot, black, acrid smoke, not sure how that will effect the taste of a hot dog.

    Those notches must be training cuts for those who are beginners at splitting.....


    Thing is though, if someone really wants to have a fire and not leave much trace this would work.
    On an FHC level I see this working only if you got time to let a round dry all the way out and "easy to light" kind of wood.

    I'm feeling some serious FHC deja vu. I had to do a double take to make sure it wasn't another ancient thread that got brought back from life support.

    Yep we did it and it was super easy. Skip the plunge cuts and cut it like a pie. Stuff some of the noodles down in the center and light it up. Not sure where the pics are... maybe BCPLLC snapped a few pics of the carnage.:campfire:
