Seeing as how my racks are full, all I have really left to do is collect for refill during the heating season... and oh yeah, admire my wood. I know, many of you have 2-3.4 times as much, but, for the 1750sq ft house we have, these 9cords +, is my 3yr supply. So..... without further ado - All but 3 cords are uncovered until the fall. Given the gypsy moth defoliation, the sun gets to shine on my wood(dosn'y it shine on everyone's wood ?), instead of the racks being in shade. The rounds at the end of the stacks, is whte oak that I've been collecting from a tree a neighbor took down. Those will besplitand stacked, once I have space for them. The start of my 4-yr wood The small metal rack, has shorties on it. They'll be put on top of the roofing rubber, when i cover the stacks later this year. Some limbs from that neighbor's white oak tree. There's still more of these, this size, to haul back. Have a good 4th of July. Enjoy your cookouts and adult beverages, and most of all, stay safe.
Admiring your wood is fine, but it really don't do ya no good unless you use it, preferably cause someone else was admiring it too Nice stacks!
Well.... I like to admire my wood because I've never had so much as there is right now. I made a conscious effort to get on the 3yr plan. As I was laid off by Corporate America, I had the time and ability to hoard, cut, split, and stack, as a way to cut back on future heating expenses. Now, if there was only some way to have a wood-fired central air conditioning unit. ~smile~ Until then, I'm happy to admire my wood Sent from my SM-T280 using Tapatalk
Admiring your hard work is good. I do it too and I suspect since you are now on the 3 year plan that your intentions are to burn it. Way to go.
Congrat's! It's a really good feeling to be in the "3 year club". The work to get there was well worth it. The heating season isn't that far off, but I'm gonna enjoy the summer as long as I can!!
