    Oh boy these ladies are doing great!! I've got three boxes on and they have built out about 80% of the frames. I'm not to concerned with honey production right now I really just enjoy beekeeping. I will only keep about three hives in the future. I really like this foundationless stuff it's really cool to watch them build it.

    How's everyone's bees?

    Coming into spring, so far I have 2 deadouts of 16. I suspect there will be a more, taking me down to 11 or 12. If that holds up, I'll be pretty satisfied.

    Wandering around in the NH woods.
    Lost both hives. One likely absconded during our high winds and warm temps before Christmas. The other one seemed to have run out of closely accessible pollen for brood development. So the population dropped off until it was no longer sustainable. Picking up a new package later this month.

    Sorry to hear that.

    One of mine is obviously dwindling, but it is too cold to really get a look. I suspect queen failure.
