Good that leoht gets to burn. There won't be a lot of burning for most of us for a couple months now.
Yea it's strange to log on and see a person burnong and it's that cold. Most of us seem to be northern hemisphere folks.
This is about as cold as it gets here, and luckily not to often and only at night. It's dead calm no breeze at all and beautiful clear sky, the stars look fantastic tonight. But the fire looks even better. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
OK guys remember in Australia every thing is upside down.... you go north to get warm.. leoht gotta be in hills of southern Victoria... most of my friends there had never seen ice on a pond... but we went skiing in bulla.. so they knew snow but not ice... because it usually warms up before ice really forms...
Will this wet every go away? Well, it seems the weather forecasters are saying it is finally coming to an end here at least. After a 30% chance of t-showers this afternoon, no rain forecast until next Wednesday. However, we've seen this before and daily they keep putting in a chance. What is bad is the sticky air. Hate that.
It dried up enough to get 99's lawn all cut, trimmed and weed wacked! Then guess what? Yup, it started raining as soon as I drove the rider into the garage!!! 60's here today. Wood fire in the 13 last night at the cottage. Just a quickie!
it poured here for hours last night, didnt help the high humidity one bit. Made it FAR worse. It was 70 degrees with 99% humidity this morning. So humid the area rugs on my enclosed porch feel wet when you step on them. The Mrs is just getting over a nasty case of the flu, and I am run down from fighting it and winning. Good few days to lay low in the house with the AC cranking
Low 40's this morning. But, the next three days are supposed to be dry with the hottest one in the 80's. Nights will be in the 50's.
Geeze, I think I'll come home again! Sounds great but not at all unusual for that area. I remember one year on June 30 we had gone camping and it got down to the low 30's! Then there was the year we lost our garden in July to the freeze...
Found a nice little clay chiminea in a "free" pike by the side of the road the other day that fits perfectly by the picnic table on the patio, so we're christening it with some splitter junk, twigs, and uglies.. waiting for the mosquitos to go to bed so Mrs Papi and Jr #1 can come out and keep me company. She got the fire going while I finished splitting a truck full of red maple... then ran inside when I finished because it was too buggy!
Yes, we miss the cooler air of the UP! However, we're not so sure we miss some of that super cold of winter. As we grow a bit older, we like the cold less and less but still enjoy it until it gets down to around 15 or 20 degrees. Even if it is 30 though, if there is a hard wind, that is nasty. As for snow, I don't mind at all.
It hit 80 today while we were at the cottage. Sitting in the shaded screen porch, it was too hot for me!
