Hi all. I don't get on much in the summer. But I'm gone camping, and where I camp they let us cut dead trees in the woods. I have found A cedar woods and all the dead ones are bone dry. So I cut a load of fire pit wood this morning. It is the reddest cedar I have ever seen and smells as good as it looks. Mimi (as many of you know her) is collecting all the wood chips from the chainsaw and scraps from splitting and taking them home to put in her closet. She puts them in a cloth bag Just thought you guys would enjoy the pictures of the Cedar.

Very different looking cedar than what we are used to seeing. Ours doesn't come with the red interior like that.

No certainty not, I see cedar spoken I immediately think of Alaskan Cypress or Western Red.

The red color is typical of eastern red cedar. It is the stuff they make closet linings and hope chests out of.

Not at all. When I went back to edit the first one wasn't there. Just now I went there again and had a dup. Deleted the dup. and then read your comment.

There was some wonkiness this morning. I managed to duplicate post. The repeated "you must wait xx seconds to do that" might have been a clue that the server was struggling with whatever. The "delete this post" is nice to delete a oops.

Yes it does HDRock. My wife collects it and puts in a cloth bag, and puts it everywhere. Makes things smell really Good. Chief
