Longer days are a blessing for firewood processing, mosquitos be dammed. With going through 15 cord/yr or thereabouts, there's no room for lolly gagging! Home from work, dinner with the family, put baby Ella to bed, and I can usually get 45 minutes to an hour of work done. Turning picture 1 into picture 2 one night, and picture 2 into picture 3 the next.

    Life is good. :)

Good job fine sir .....I do have to say I am glad it's you burning through that much wood and not me. I think if I had to cut that much I would be looking at geo thermal or some alternative. Not beating you up at all just commenting.:D

I've been using my ThermaCell for the mosquitos. Seems to work pretty well if you are sticking to 15x15ft area

"Honey, the baby doesn't really need this crib anymore, she can just sleep on a mattress on the floor. I'll just run this crib out to the wood burner..."

Now that's just crazy talk. We have to get through your grandmother's cedar chest and the wooden spoons in the kitchen first!

Yes indeed, the longer days give us more time to work outdoors. Just too bad about the skeeters and other bugs. Still skeeters can be good as it keeps a lot of city folks in the city rather than in the country.

I know what you meant...was just kidding. I live in the city, and there are a lot of, how would I say, "special" people here.
