Psycho stabbing at Flint Bishop airport

This is a big deal because my daughter works there it's about 5 miles from me.
They had a bomb evacuation there a couple weeks ago
Some guy came from Canada tried to buy a gun but couldn't without a state ID, then apparently bought a 12" knife.
Attacked and stabbed a security guard in the neck , a retired Sheriff officer, he managed to take the guy down and then other people helped keep him down, the guard is going to be ok.

The odd thing is too, I'm sometimes not sure where in this country she is, she sometimes flies to other airports in the country to train other people.

 

Daughter said, she wasn't there at the time, it could have been worse, there were more cops there at the time for a meeting

 

Glad she was ok and that the guard will be ok. Another whack job !!!

 

Let's call it for what it is...a radical Muslim whack job. If it walks like a duck, acts like a duck, quacks like a duck, it's a freaking duck. Too bad he's still alive, if I was at the airport that day when he was stabbing a cop in the neck he wouldn't still be breathing. And then I would go eat lunch and not give him a second thought.

Just like 2 days ago at JFK airport- Sadam Mohamed Raishani, a nurse, was arrested for attempting to provide material support to ISIS. He quit his job, left his wife and kid, and was on his way to Syria via Istanbul and London. Class act.

I have a tall tree and short piece of rope that I could put to good use for him.

 

The crazy is everywhere. Stay. vigilant. Go figure....he picked a GFZ as a target.

 

Sorry to hear about your scare, HDRock . Very happy that your daughter is fine and wasn't there at the time!!
It's so sad how often these crazy things happen.

 

And right now people are protesting in Seattle because SPD shot a woman who attacked 2 cops with a knife.

 

Sorry this happened so close to home HDRock ... our daughter does a lot of traveling all over the world for work, so we're official member of the worried chitless club too. Crazy times.

 

Daughter filled me in a little bit more on what happened, that wasn't on the news.
The guy wasn't looking to just stab the officer one time he was going to do it several times and kill him,, the officer got stabbed in the neck and the back I'm not sure how many times he got stabbed, but he got lucky and the knife missed his esophagus, spine and his arteries, so he will recover.
The attacker wanted to die, he was hollering why don't you kill me, why don't you kill me.
There were two other officers there close by, because of the meeting they were having, if that hadn't been the case who knows how this would have turned out, probably much worse.

 

I don't even know about these protesters what they are thinking.
On that note, I do not want this to get political
