Ok, so I'm cleaning out the shed and I run across a plastic wrapped box. The box contained awesomeness... Mattel X-wing fighter, probably 1978. Push down on R2D2, the wings go from flat to X shape. I had to fly it around, then lock in "s-foils". Wife became Death Star. Death Star was not amused but I had fun. An original Mr. Peanut peanut grinder. Cool books about stuff I have yet to delve into, just tossed them aside for the time being.. and then, the shoe box.. So, there are a bunch of rookie cards for baseball and football players, from '66-'78. I didn't go through them all. Couple of Charlie's Angels cards, and a bunch of Star Wars cards. Reds, greens, yellows.. (they used to be color coded). So.. Whatch'a think, are they worth anything? If so, who would you approach to find a fair market value? JB
Hell yes they are worth something! Iirc there was a pawn stars episode that sold the xwing in original box for hundreds! x-wing vintage in Action Figures | eBay There is one in a damaged box with 18 watchers for $120. The cards, either get a book on them or go to ebay completed auctions for a pricing idea.

I have mad baseball and football cards from when I was young. Tons of rookie cards in those plastic screw protector holders in mint condition. I should get them out and look at them but I'm to lazy to dig through everything in the attic to get to them.
Good link, thanks for the info. ! My search's were brief, but now I have a base line for some of these items. I'll dig into them further in the future but I have a site pegged that has the one I searched. Card was .99C, + $3.00 S/H. So, at $3.99 per card, I might be able to retire last month. Yup, they have value but I doubt I'll work 'em enough to get "top dollar", I don't have enough time to do the research. My bad.
I can't resist, I gotta share what a butthead I am......my poor wife I was engaged in my regression, flying that X-wing around and terrorizing the dog and cats. Too easy, must focus on Death Star.... went something like this- spoken out loud- Gold leader to Gold squad, assume attack position.. (Brown Leader)- Gold squad, hold position, we are in formation and commencing our run. Gold Leader-Acknowledged Brown leader, we'll pull back. (Brown Leader)- We are on approach of the trench now, we'll just give it a tickle and we're out. That's when I poked her butt with the nose of that X-wing. She was trying to ignore me the whole time, .... she should know better bye now. Her fault.
He said, "Brown Leader"..... Then "trench" Then....hmmmm, maybe I won't draw this one out any further.... Yeah, guess I regressed there too for a second....
