Or the glass half full view, when of one of the corners tires gets a flat, you've got another in that corner. 1 big bottle of slime will fix many flats.
Nonsense! For the price range of a thousand you might be able to HAVE a rugged trailer built....there are Craigslist ads of beginner- to experienced fabricators looking for work?
Boomstick I was thinking of this yesterday. I have been seeing adds for a fabricator about a half hour from my work that does custom road trailer builds. I think I will shoot him an email and see what he thinks. Thanks for the suggestion.
If you have a welder , measuring tape, drill , grinder with zip disks , and a bit of steel you can build a trailer like mine. I'm not a welder, just self taught and know when to say no (I think) but my setup is pretty easy to make. If anyone wants to make one start a thread and I'll chime in , send me a pm and I'll call anyone that wants to hear my 2 cents worth of input . I'm pretty sure that if anyone tries they can build a better trailer than what HF sells without breaking a sweat .
That's a very generous offer. Thanks Dancan . I am going to build a round bale mover for the ATV sometime this summer/fall/winter. My biggest problem is time right now. The farm needs lots of work of work right now and I work full time in town. I really appreciate it and would love to build a trailer like yours. Maybe over the winter if I can scavenge some materials.
This is a friend of mine that owns this company. Countryatv.com He said he would do discount pricing for members if picked up here in central Ohio Single axle a tv trailer $600 Double axle a tv trailer. $800 Firewood and brush sides $50 more Atv log arch $400
Good discounts, indeed. walt, can you tell us the size or part # so we can look at them on their site
They make several sizes of wagons and trailers but the A TV trailers are the same width as an A TV The single axle is rated at 1600 lbs. The double axle is rated at 2500 lbs.
Maybe this one? ATV Trailer Tandem Axle Super Heavy Duty , For Rugged Use! 2500 lb. Capacity! SPECIAL SALE PRICE! $959.00 + SHIPPING
Tim this trailer has been great for me , I put the drop hitch on the back so I can pull my log splitter. The pic I took this morning was a small load of ash and beach I cut for campfire wood at the cabin.
Yes they appear to make a lot of great options for us hoarders that hate with ATVs. One question I have after perusing their site is whether these are dump trailers or not? It looks like it, but hard to tell. Also, if they are dumpable, how much room is there to add a hydraulic dump? I happen to work for a hydraulics company.
Yes they offer these with dump option , I could make my trailer dump but I use it for firewood and don't need it
