No cutting went on today, I had my eyes checked today and then we had breakfast at small restaurant.

I had the ole pupils dilated today so even with the sunglasses it wasn't "Gooder".

Back from the open house at the Air Guard base. An awesome day despite the 90 degree weather. Luckily there was a good breeze all day.

Had a great display of aircraft. They were:
    F35
    F22
Both were roped off and a sign distinctly said...we will shoot you. They don't mess around protecting those stealth planes!
    F18
    F16
    A10 (my favorite)
    B52
    C5
    C17
    KC135
    KC 10
    Ch47 Chinook
    Texan II

Lots of pics taken and my bride was so good about putting up with me explaining each and airplane with her.

F35 with a rather serious fellow

A10 Warthog...I bought two spent 30mm cartridges for each of my sons.

    The lineup of a B52, C17 and C5.

Like I said my bride indulged my child like fascination, so I repaid her with her favorite Mexican restaraunt!

Yes, everything looked good according to the eye doc. I did get new glasses and sunglasses, my last set of glasses were bought in 2011 so the new ones will be a touch stronger for distance (eyes haven't changed much) but my sunglasses were bought in 2007 so the new ones will be nice.

    Pretty neat, we did escape.
Have to buck the forum norm of :ithappened:....
A main rule of the establishment was "no pics or videos taken within the escape room!"

    We had fun.

    Wow what a day!

Spent the morning at Meijer getting groceries, went to Dark Horse Brewing for the sea food boil and beer and came home around 5 got a call from a good friend that his water heater died and they needed help installing a new one. That means I installed the new one sweat joints and all. Royal pita of a location! Then the wife called and had a flat half way through the water heater install and I had to go swap her flat for the spare and limp the trailblazer ( which I am really growing to hate that SUV but that's a different topic ) back to my friends so he could plug the hole in the tire while I finished the water heater up.

I just walked in the door to home! :headbang: 12:53 am....

It is going to get toasty today. Enjoying a cup of coffee on the screen porch with a nice breeze.

I've been trying to root several Dutchman's pipe vine cuttings with no luck. I'd like it to shade the porch with the large leaves it produces. It might be time to head to a nursery for alternatives.
