I definitely get that its a hit or miss sorta thing. Gonna go home and get a fire going in the pit. Smaller alder fire for me, yesterday I had the gall to dig into my "ready for winter " supply but it was really just a small pile that was of unsplit rounds fir, pine, birch and some apple. Had to back up a bit. The day was 80 I believe...
Started out with drizzle, a little wind and bad overcast. Now it is sunshine with a nice 50f. May hit the mid 60's today!
Weather has been mostly pretty decent (or hot!) in the daytime, and cool at night. My poor lil stove just can't get no love. We burned up roughly 6 liters of oil the last 2 weeks. I can't remember the last day we had a fire.
Early afternoon storms gave way to mostly blue skies here.... air temp @70 something F's... got propane going, on the grill that is; making Mrs. Eric VW some Italian sausage, peppers and onions.... 5 sauzeech, applicable veggies, no pic of the sauce, 1 hour on the grill in a tin foil wrap/boat....
I've got you beat! 34 stinking degrees of Fahrenheit this morning! I know it was colder as many spots had frost on the roofs!
29*F, -2*C here this morning. Now to go scrape the ice off the windshield. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
It was a cool day with a pretty strong breeze so tonight I started a fire in the Liberty, the temp is sitting at 53.
