Last Thursday I got some new tools.

First was a chipper with a 4x10'' capacity. It works great. It self feeds. With it on the little BX I can go anywhere to in the woods to clean up brush.

Then I also got a conveyor. It will be modified for use with firewood. It is 16' long.

^^^x2! That is a pretty handy looking little chipper. Where did you get it and who makes it?

Like everyone else has mentioned the chipper is really neat. Being able to take it where you want with little effort means you will have a tendency to use it more.

When you get the conveyor going you will have to show some pics on how it worked out for you.

    Thanks.

Thanks. I got the chipper at an auction. It was brand new. It is a Chinese copy of a Wallenstein BX42. Everything is the same, even the weight. It is a very simple design and after thinking about it, the Wallenstien is way over priced. If you search BX42 chipper it should come up from different sellers.

Thanks. It is also easy to hook up to with the quick hitch. Just lower the 3 point hitch and back under it and raise the 3 point hitch and hook the PTO shaft up and go.

Thanks. Yes, I will get pics of the conveyor. I'll even get a moving picture of it. I may do a thread on it. It runs and works as it is. It runs too fast so I am going to get a different sprocket or pulleys for it to slow it down. Then I want to add chain guard and belt guard so a piece of wood can't get tangled up in the belt. Then I need to make a "funnel" or whatever you want to call it to catch the wood as it falls of the splitter. Then engine seems to run good and start easy.

Is that a Wallenstein BS 42s chipper? Just like others have said " looks ideal and fits the Bx nicely. Glad to see you found a conveyor.

You should be able to find out what the hp rating is but don't go by tractor hp but pto hp.

It is a copy of a Wallenstien. It is a great fit for the BX or I can use it on the L4240 if I need to chip large brush but anything over 3'' is firewood for me.

Thanks, now I don't have to haul my brush off to get rid of it. I am hoping the conveyor will make processing firewood more efficient.

Thanks. Was the chipper green like mine or JD green? Did it say Wallenstein on it? They say you need 20-50hp to run it. I'm 17.7 on the PTO. The more power you have the larger stuff you can chip. A 9N probably has about the same power on the PTO as this tractor. I'm going to make a video of this on but it will probably be a few weeks. Mine works as good as this genuine Wallenstien.
