i have stopped cutting now.the pond is drying up and wont fill up now till the end of the year.by that time i would have had the wood out.in the summer time i will walk round the fields and cut down hanging branches, then go round after the corn is cut and pick it up with the quad bike and trailer.with the grand kids.
Too warm here. I only cut wood when it's cold out. Too many snakes and creepy crawlers when it's warm.
I usually do all the cutting in winter months but with so much down, I may do some this summer, especially those oaks we took down last month at the GTG.
I've been taking wood from people that want it cleaned up after tree services, some friends have been giving me wood I cut down for them as favors other than that I've been out of my normal spots. Haven't seen a rattlesnake yet. When I do I'll take pics
No cutting for me except the stuff I have here already, which isn't much (to cut) I have a bunch to split and a ton to stack though, little under 2 years ahead right now. I have a few projects that need to be worked on before I worry about firewood right now. That being said, if I came across something free close and easy, I won't be turning it down.
