So what kind of fun do you ladies and gents have planned for Memorial Day? My weekend unfortunately includes two funeral/visitations.
Sorry, schlot, I can't like that, but I know that happens more often w/ age. Hope they're nice services. Other than attending a cookout (free meat and beer! ),nothing special planned.
Thanks...not too close to either but want to see the families. Any race fans? Indy? Grand prix of Monaco?
I'll be in the woods this weekend, but love IRL races. Could have gone to Indy, but I'll be going to the Indy car races in Toronto, Mid Ohio and Sonoma this year.. Do you go to any Indy car races?
My wife and I are going to drive down to Austin, MN to place a flag on her dad's grave. He was a WWII B-17 nose gunner. As he always said, "no lottery tickets for me, I already won, I made home and had a family." It's a small thing we can do for him. Wife will probably want to plant some flowers too.
Headed to the woods this weekend for some relaxing, beers, and work. Living in Indy makes for some crap traffic all weekend, so I just leave town every year. I've been to too many indy 500s to remember.
Nothing special for Memorial day, going down to Newport Aquarium, spend the night. NHRA follower here, wife and I are going to all 23 events next year. We are leaving in Feb 2018 and will be back in Nov. We will get to stop back in Ohio several times the way the schedule goes. Truck and small travel trailer, lots of driving and will see the whole country.
2 wheel race fan here. World Superbike is going on this weekend. There's going to be a special remembrance for Nicky Hayden. RIP. I plan on working on my motorcycle, and getting out on the ski nautique, however I can't get it to fire up tonight. Fun with points. Grrr. Mow the lawn, drink beer, change oil in my Audi.
The American Superbike championship ( AMA Superbike, aka MotoAmerica) is the following weekend. I'll be at Road America for that from Friday am- Sunday. The World Superbike championship is this weekend in Donington UK. Yeah, the loss of Nicky Hayden is a big one. He had fans around the world.
I'll be in NW Iowa at my Aunts/cousins to drop and split some dead standing, I can't wait! Then to the in- laws farm to spit drop some wind blown stuff and a whole lot of splitting that I am way behind on. I am way more pumped about this than than a boating weekend! I may have a problem!
