Big maple dropped by power company

    Actually it does get better! I bought all this firewood (was supposed to be 2 cords) for $400.00 and it is mostly oak and almost seasoned.. I stacked all this today and my back is very sore but man what a great deal!! This is 6 pallets and it looks like they will be full :)

    To be honest I'd rather just pay $400.00 as this is loads of work and I have so many other things to do..

    $200.00 per cord is good deal around here Terry.. Been paying this for past 3-4 years.. Worth it in my opinion..

    From the looks of the stump log, that tree was on it's way out anyway. They do get to a size where it's just not fun anymore (without several "hydraulic" helpers) :thumbs:

    The wood guy told me he gets the wood for free from tree companies and dropped at his lot.. He processes it and sells for $200.00 per cord.. Said he sold 400 cords last year! WOW! He delivers 2 cords at a time..

    Take that 555 and go for the Maple take your time noddle if necessary there is a lot of nice firewood in those large rounds.

    Take your time, pick it at it a little when you have the time. That tree isn't going anywhere on its own.

    My son came home from the hospital today so that's good :) Still not sure what he has.. Always something! Things could always be worse..
