Saw this watching The Amazing Race with my daughter the other night, one of the episodes had the contestants climb the structure to add another pallet, something like 17 stories:faint:

DaveGunter, Leave it to the Norwegians to come up with a stunt like that.

Rain was starting but got this snap to show my loaded pallet entry. My repositioned and extended wood shed.
As fall approaches I'll add tarps to protect the goods. I'm in! 20170630_181111.jpg

You have all probably seen some of my portable wood racks in other threads, these will be my entry.

I have built 22 of these firewood racks and 3 of the kindling boxes below.

It is handy to be able to quickly pick up and move a face cord with the tractor.

I lost track of the deadline, but here is one of my submissions.

One of the oak pallets I found in a field.
    20170303_110045.jpg

I don't have many build pics, but here is more oak for slats. Ripped on the table saw and sanded.

    20170323_122540.jpg

Fixed to the frame. All the heavier pallet wood was a bit twisted, so lots of odd cuts, but it tightened up real nice.

A couple of slats across the top, some forged metal for the glass holders and bottle retainers.

Pallet wine rack. Holds 9 bottles. The open design let's you see all the labels. It went to a charity auction 2 days later and sold.

Second entry. A beefy short table to hold my 100 lb vise. 2 1/2" x 3 1/2" legs and 1 1/2" maple top. This pallet wood was already cut and stacked ready for picking.

    20170704_165456.jpg

I have to look for more of that maple to make a shelf across the bottom to hold more tools.

With the entries in might I ask if the judges have come to the table?

My pallets are utilitarian, I can move all these piles with the forks on my tractor.

I doubt this was actually a contest or someone would have overseen this and encouraged more and more entries. The cool thing would be is if this site actually gave freebies for such so that people would be encouraged to do more. (Insert example here)
I have heard that people gift things through GTG's but that's about it.

I think summer just got in the way and this got sidetracked.

There is a "karma" thread on here where many members have given items away to someone.

Lots of other member have helped each other out when needed. Pretty amazing how this group makes things happen.
