I think last year we hung ours out around May 1. Been thinking about it so maybe after all the rains I'll get a couple out.

I'd normally have mine out by now (turkey season) along with new mineral sites but I haven't been to the property lately.

We leave ours out all year. Kind of neat to see what's around and watch deer til deer seasons over then watch the turkeys and repeat. It's fun to watch the deer drop antlers and grow them back. Not to mention all the other neat things you see. Like the time the owl flying talons out almost ripping it off the tree. Or the time we got a raccoons underside for a dozen pictures because he was trying to open the camera. Or hawks flying in to snag stuff, coyotes and foxes trotting by with rabbits. The time someone forgot to shut it off while fitting some ground with the tractors :whistle:and of course the unsuspecting neighbors!:D

We haven't put anything in this spot since September AND this spot is covered by up to 4 feet of water a few weeks during the winter. The deer have been tearing it up anyway. Put the camera up today with a quart of buck jam on the ground.
