Ok guys I am about to pull the trigger on a HT133 pole saw...they just came out and have a lot of new features....I just got a job that will pay for the saw, and I will obviously use it a lot in the future, so it seems a good investment for me....

I was wondering if any of you guys had one....also there are also a lot of good hand pole saw brands out there too, like silky...

Do you guys that have both the manual and power pruners use one more over the other???

Any opinions you guys have are appreciated!!!

    Thanks a lot Kyle!!!

My Dad has an Echo and I've pruned my driveway trees with it. It got the job done but it gets heavy quick. I can see why the hand powered variety is still popular. If I had a lot of trimming to do I think I'd want one for the smaller branches. Or maybe some of those loppers. Save the saw for the bigger stuff.

Ya I am kind of torn between them....I mean I have been doing complete take-downs, so just hacking of branches quickly has been the goal...I take the branches that could hit any property off, then drop tree....

Sadly as CAD does, I can see actually needing both of these tools in the future...I basically just want to eat the one I will use the most first!!

I added a pruner saw and 3ft extension to my Echo PAS-225. They were around $260 together and they have served me well for the past 2 years. Mine gets used much more use than I thought but mostly for friends and neighbors. The HT133 looks like a very good unit with 2' + more reach than mine. With the same weight. From experience that would come in very handy. If money is not an object I think it would be a great addition. Let us know what your experience is.
