So sad on every level, for everybody, including our service members.

Looks like we'll be expecting September lambs. Wife wanted to put the ram back with the rest of the flock including 3 unbred yearling ewes, thinking that they were done cycling until fall. Just in case, we rattle powdered rams chest (green chalk). Looks like at least one was still cycling... Oh well, we knew it was possible and were ready if this happened.

It appears it was a different member, sorry. Whoever it was had the cows separated for the winter. Returned from vacation to find one had a calf, couldnt figure out how, then remembered one had been loose months back, he found her loose one morning, but apparently she was busier than he realized that night and visited the bull pen too

Not my trick. It's standard practice for shepherds. Unusually, when you plan to breed them in the fall and you want to know when and if each ewe is bred.

I've pulled ticks from alot of places before. This was a first. It was probably there 8 hrs. The dogs eyes hid it unless you pried his eye open. Sneaky little blood sucker. Grrrrrrrr.

The dog took repeated pinching fingers in his eye like a champ and I incinerated the vampire.
