A friend of mine has always hated cats. His wife got an antisocial cat who only likes my buddy. It's so funny to see my friend with a cat. They can melt anyone's heart I guess!

Good thing there's only the fire to "tend to" this hump day or I'd never get to work....

Coffee is especially good this morning, starting of the second 1/2 pot now.

Probably get some work done at the cottage today, see how it goes. And get those mowers running! (sung to the tune of born to be wild!)

My oldest daughter and I are gearing up for a walk through our woods. She has not been through the new logging trails yet. This will open her eyes to the whole property. Great to have her home for the week. The other kids and my wife at school gives us some time to hang out together. We'll go up to my parents again for lunch.

Very interesting night last night and more to come in BC politics. Not to get political or start a conversation but our two lead parties were tied after yesterday's voting. I don't know how they will work it out in the end.

Got both the rider and the push running. Now, have to get some gas and then off to the races!

Probably cut this afternoon once I get back.

In small town Iowa, ties are often settled by the flip of the coin. :)

I think it will be a bit more complicated here.

5:30 AM and it is light out when we head out for our walk. No more poop scooping in the dark with a flashlight!

Oh No!!! When I looked out the kitchen window this morning, I realized that the deer got over the fence and into the yard and ATE my tulips. I didn't have many but they were looking nice. I went and check the small garden up by the front door and they didn't get into that. And they left the ones by the front door and accessible from the street alone. I wonder how long it will be before my neighbour's tulips by their driveway will get ate.

Well, I should be use to it by now. Tulips are like crack to deer. Roses as well. The five foot Xpen around the roses at the road side of the house is letting the roses actually grow this year and not be totally nibbled to death. Any ornamental cedar hedge around town has a hourglass look as they nibble off the middle of the trees.

We call our cedar line, out by the road, giraffalo trees. Deer eat anything green from the ground up. Just top half is left... :picard:

I actually got to cut some grass this afternoon.o_O And the sun is out!o_Oo_O And I hit a piece of aluminum cable and wrapped it around one of the three blades. And I had to then drive it back to garage, raise it up and untangle it!:doh:

But it's off and I managed to cut half the grass at the house before the little ones came home.
