I am in the middle of a deal where I can get a 40 foot long piece by 11 feet to use for stack covering. 100 bucks take it or leave it?

Guy was sketchy kept asking me a lot of questions that were not safe, "Id like to meet at your house ...are you sure you can't meet at your property..."

I have a relative that's in the roofing business. He gets me pieces 10' x 10' that he pulls aside before being tossed into a dumpster. Lucky for me!

I paid like $99 on sale at Menards last week for the 10 x 20' roll. Works great so far.

I am covering a couple of my stacks with roofing membrane as well, so far so good.
But I'm with Backwoods, I would not have this guy come meet me at my place.

So far not taking it from him have another option that just may cover the birch stack and another new one.

My neighbor had give me almost a full roll of the membrane, I did a repair on my garage roof and used the rest to cover 3 stacks, and I am trying out a 4'X8' insulation board 1/2" thick for my 16' stack, so far that is doing a great job.

    Hey, give him some credit!

He's just as cautious as you are with your personal space.

Maybe the material is a little warm, too!

Meet him in a parking lot somewhere.

Last line of yooperdave's post is the meat and potatoes, not the first line.... 3rd line is possibly the most important consideration-

Then you always have to be cautious, no? Lots of nuts out there.
