Had 1/2 of a stove load overnight, woke up to 73 upstairs. It warmed up outside overnight and today clear up to 80. Cooler predicted for this upcoming week so maybe some night fires. Going to clear the wood off the patio this week and get some patio chairs up for morning coffee, I'll bring wood up if needed.

There are still a couple spots that have a little snow left over from this past weeks little blast. Should be gone by morning as we are forecasted to get some rain overnight.

Nothing but oak cut offs into the OWB.

We'll be in the mid 40's for a low tonight so we'll have a small fire.

It looks like our nasty weather will hit a bit after seven tomorrow night so I'll get 10 gallons of Gasifier so we have 15 for the genny. It's supposed to be heavy rains with strong winds.

Gasifier , I saw that forecast for this area on WPTZ so you should be getting it earlier.

I didn't know about the high winds. I'm hoping the weather app from the weather channel is closer to accurate. But I'll have enough gas on hand for the generator. I think I have ten gallons now. I'll probably pick up another 5-10.

It's around 45 and the house feels warm enough so we'll go without a fire tonight.

Sitting at +9 C (48 F) and dreary sort of drizzle. Poplar kindling sort of chugging along. Too short a chimney for her to get up and go with these temps, pretty sluggish fire.

38 degrees on the back porch this morning at 09:50. I just fired up the boiler again with Ash splits and small Maple rounds. Rain has stopped for now.

The last half hour it has been snowing here. Started out with big flakes, up to 2 inches across. It has even been trying to stick on the grass. It is May 1st, isn't it?:faint::picard:

46 here this morning. The sun is trying to come out. Today will probably be the only day this week we see much of it. :picard:

I'll fire up the boiler with Ash to bring it and the buffer tank up to temp.

Right where I want to be.
So, I'm always saying that we need the rain, but man, 3 days of it is gettin' on me nerves.
I think it started on Sun., and hasn't stopped much since.
Supposed to get nice for a couple days, then back to rain. I could have sworn April was last month.
Anywho, still 70 IAT this am, and 43 OAT, but I may have a small kindling type fire in a minute. Feels cooler than 70 in here.
Still trying to burn through the row of Oak I thought for sure would be gone before the end of April. Haven't touched the cord of Maple and Pine I planned to burn this spring.  Still have over a cord of Oak in the shed too. Nice.

Temp 55° headed down to 42° overnight. House cooled down today to 61°, so running the pellet stove for a short bit. Talk of a few inches of snow come Saturday, we'll see.....:loco:
