IMG_3850.JPG IMG_3851.JPG IMG_3852.JPG IMG_3853.JPG is this coming Saturday. So today got my end and first corner ready. Hoping for good weather. 18 guys coming, so hoping to fill 14 cord lean to, and haul out 4 more. A lot of it won't need split for my owb, just needs moved. Will snap a couple of pics along the way.

That pile represents multiple arborist gifts and the results of tree work that Greg and friends have had the privilege to clean up.
Very little felling on his part. Some, but not too much.
Search his posts and threads. You....will.... at what this excellent member has captured in BTU's and pics.

We use two splitters and some of the young guys will swing a monster maul a little. I think maybe 2/3s of pile is good enough for OWB, but some of the guys helping have stoves and inserts so we split down to regular firewood size for them.

I have a pile almost that big in my spare driveway....that's just the wood I kept this past fall/winter.

Wife is chomping at the bit for me to get it split, cleaned up and GONE....lol

I'll be keeping around 4 cord of it (that's all I used all winter), the rest will be parted with.

Keep us posted, Greg.......great looking she'd and I can't wait to see it all tightly stacked and organized!

Scotty would you consider your yard something of an overflow for your cut downs or your company's?

18 guys splitting and stacking? Heck I don't even know 18 people who would be willing to work that hard.

4 are my sons who thankfully come home for this weekend each year, the rest are people that I work with to get their wood each year, from as little as a pickup load to five cords. We hope to do in 4 hours then have big lunch together!

I don't have a company, but it may appear that way to some....lol

Being I'm at 5 years ahead, I only keep the locust, oak, hickory, only the really good stuff. I give the rest away. And I've give away a lot of wood!!

No problem, if your travels ever take you east and you need place to rest up, or to cut wood, let me know !
