Concrete is all laid out, just need to let it set up a bit and trowel it out.

I'm sick of being sick but trying to so concrete with a fever and not eating for a couple days was a bad call. I'm flat on my back now.

These imported bugs are mean as sin. Last time I crossed trails with something like this was early 70's zipping around the whole NA continent + Mexico.
Really trying to get a head of steam up and make a replacement drawer + 2 cabinet doors for the kitchen. Nothing fancy.

It still growing around here. I mowed on Tuesday evening, and it definitely grew enough to mow today. The cold, yes, it was a cold mowing session this afternoon. It's 40° and windy, but I had to mow today. That's done though. I'm warming up inside after eating an Italian sammich I made under the broiler.

What's the thing that looks like a strike plate for a door knob for in the hole saw kit?

It is a big potluck party, They furnish the buns, pulled pork, ribs, and potatoes and all those who come bring a dish to pass, everything from pickles, deviled eggs, salads, and desserts. If you buy a case of wine you get invited to the following years case party.

I have that same kit, its been awhile since I used it but IIRC that plate is kind of a reinforcement for some of the larger saws...the lil nubs engage in holes on the top of the saw then you put the arbor on...

Thank you, just looked the the larger ones, YEP! I was drilling plastic coffee cans and dollar store buckets with smallest for drain holes, but I will finally get the dryer vented outside this summer and for sure that extra reinforcement will help:)

It was a busy day here. I started early finishing two woodworking projects. I cleaned up the yard and made a brush pile to haul to the DPW yard. My son participated in a kick-a-thon to raise money for the American Cancer Society at his karate dojo. He did 460 kicks waist high in 5 minutes. It was a great event with lots of energy. He was also invited to join the leadership and demonstration teams. So he will be stepping his game up and attending extra classes. He will most likely start weapons training for the demo team.

We ended the evening at a ceremony at the local 1697 brick garrison house. I will make a forged window and shutter hook to close the windows, and repair an iron skimmer.

I found a deer tick latched on me last night. It was probably only on for an hour or so.

My daughter had one crawling on her 1/2 hour later. I think we are up to 3 or 4 ticks on us already.
