Funny, I wonder if anybody looked at that and thought I actually stacked it like that and just moved on didn't say anything:picard:
If you look at the right front corner you will see how much I actually stacked.
I was more interested in making splits then stacking anything, yee haa:dex:
I know how to stack these :D:cheers:

I split about that much maple with a wedge and a maul yesterday afternoon. Big stuff that fought me all the way. My upper body was less than pleased with me last night!

Soft maple shouldnt be this hard!

I can't imagine how bad I'd feel if I manually split that !!! Mostly I get silver Maple and even with hydraulics it fights till the very end.

the smaller 12-14" stuff pops right open with the maul, maybe 2 whacks with the X27. The trunk was probably about 36-40" DBH. Already noodled in half, I have to wedge the halves apart, then whittle away with the maul....its hell! I cant wait until Im far enough ahead that I can just hoard oak, which if I had the room to stockpile, I'd be set for years to come around here its so abundant for free.
