What's up today (bullchiting) thread.

Maybe you and your friend could co-own it? Unless one will be using it a lot more than the other... why not. Can help with maintenance too.

 

We do a lot of things together, it will be his and I'll borrow it. He borrows a lot of my stuff. Our biggest problem is finding it when we need it, you know

Rough worked up a section of new ground for the garden. Cleaned out the manure that has laid in the barn for 4-5 years. Dumped it on the garden section I worked up. Tomorrow or Fri. I plan to to work it in. Planting time coming soon.

 

Well, I must be getting old. Posted this in the chicken thread this morning.

Good morning all. Went for my walk and met three big dogs dragging their owner as the dogs spotted a kitty cat! Gardens are starting to look great with colour from the daffodils which are nearly over and tulips blooming. Forsythia is blooming and various trees are too. The magnolia on my walk is starting to leaf as well. It won't be long before it will be in bloom.

As much as I enjoy swinging an axe....I really need to get a splitter. These giant rounds are killing me! A hydraulic unit isnt in the budget right now, I might just have to give one of those small electrics a try. I can still use the axe for smaller stuff, I really could use the exercise.

I spent an hour outside and only managed to get through 3-4 decent sized chunks, and a handful of smaller rounds just to be able to be satisfied in the ability to easy bust SOMETHING up!

 

I think you'd be disappointed.

 

Had another bad day at work today.
Walking out to the truck for stuff, I fell and hurt both wrists and both knees. One hand was completely numb instantly while the other hand was numb (mostly tingling) for a short while. Both knees feel swollen now and hurt. Don't know if I het my head (don't think so) but had headache immediately and of course body aches the rest of the day (so far).

It had been raining and the walkway to the site was (of all things) used pallets to keep you off the ground! Ended up breaking through one slat of a pallet and must've got my foot wedged in there.

Now, along with my bum back this week, I have two sore knees, two sore hips, sore back, sore wrists, sore body and head!

Kinda walking like Quasimodo! Keeps the women and kids away......

 

Went hunting. Shot a turkey. Framed a new half wall / built in shelving for the basement stairs. There's more lumber in that wall than I can believe.

Going in for work tomorrow? ummmm.....just so I can get sore all over again? ummmmm Even the boss was laughing at that one!
