So anyone know if this is a good find, marked (oak) at the top left. The edge feels sharp as hell already, all i did was put it in vinegar so far. Thanks
Hm Nobody replied and I was kinda watching from afar on this one. I can't be sure at all but suppose someone stamped their name on it? I can see that there are letters after the D in the same line but it becomes barely made out. it almost looks like C and U but very hard to tell. There's also Letter N below that directly. This is interesting but getting into forensics here they have imaging where metal has memory. You can erase symbols on the surface but theres still a punch below that. It would look like an mri xray but then this could be read a bit more. Hope you figure it out but sorry it was left behind here.
Ok , I'll go out on a limb with this one . Oak(land) being the place where it was made . Axe Making in Maine Purely a guess .
