I have been patching our old wheel horse together almost every time I mow. This year I said that is enough.
Think I am going to take a gravely 52" ZT-HD

You'll love the zt mower! I just had mine delivered this week. A Scag Liberty Z, 52", with the Kawasaki motor. Just took it around the yard so far but what fun it is going to be cutting the lawn now. Enjoy Corey

    Those are good machines.

The best money I ever spent on equipment was my ZT mower. I mow my 3 acres in about 50 minutes.

Congrats on the new mower! I've liked my zt-hd 48 for the past three years. It's quality built like a tank. Mine has the kawasaki fr720v and has been dead reliable. Cut my mowing time in half. Only bad thing is I do miss the diesel clatter of the kubota g4200 it replaced.

I bought a Kawasaki powered 52" ferris and mowed all last season with it and it sure saves a lot of time as well as trimming. Originally wanted the 62" but the 52" goes places the bigger deck wouldn't not to mention the 52" was sitting in the showroom ready to go :emb:.
You will love it just watch hillsides at least mine loses traction and gets sideways quick

Ya that tree is neat. I hope it will last for my grandkids to be able to play on. My girls currently love it. I removed a couple trees near by . Opening up just a bit more light and hope to make sure she stays strong and healthy. Have had quite a few oaks die over the past 3 years or so.

Nothing like a ZTR to mow with-I have had mine for 9 years. Actually thinking buying another- I use mine on 3 different properties-spend a half hour trailering ( hook trailer up, load mower, unload, load again, unload, unhook from trailer) mine to my mother's for a hour of mowing-and she has the kind of lawn that needs mowing every 4-5 days in the spring.
It should save me some time and what the heck, we all like new toys!

9 years! You may need 2 new ones. Lol
What do you have. 9 years is pretty decent life for being hauled around every week

I have a Toro commercial grade 52" mower with a 23 hp Kawasaki engine. It has 1075 hours on it-replaced the PTO clutch-not a clutch problem, the receptacle that held the wiring harness broke-no fix besides a new clutch-newer mowers have a better design where the receptacle is a plug in item on the housing. I also changed one spindle-altogether $400 worth of repairs. I mow a total of 9 acres on 3 different properties.

Looking for another this week. I would really like a Kubota diesel, but not sure I'll like the price! My buddy the Toro dealer is getting a price ready for me on a 60" machine comparable to mine.

Wow I hope I have that good of luck. Mine is not Comercial though. But I couldn't see enough difference to justify the extra 2 grand.

You got a Kawasaki engine on that Gravely-I am definitely sold on them for 2 cylinder motors for lawnmowers, etc. I have never had one problem with mine-I change the oil and filter every 50 hours, fuel filter and air cleaner every year, spark plugs once. Starts up every spring with 5 seconds of cranking.
If I buya new one with a gas motor, no matter the color of the machine, it will have a Kawasaki engine.

I picked this up today. I liked the Kubota but didn't like the price tag! I hope I have as good luck with this as my 9 year old Toro.

Last June I got a new Toro Titan MX6000 with the Koehler motor and a 60" deck. I love it! We moved into or new home with 6.5 acres of yard. It was time to upgrade the yard mower from my Cub 1450 with a Koehler motor. Knock on wood, I've not had a problem with my Koehler motors. I also wanted a Kubota but that price tag was to much for me.
