I don't think I've heard them just yet, but good to know its just around the corner! Had the windows open the past 3 days. Nice to get some fresh air.
Cherry in, fire made. We should hit 33 or 34 for a low. Looking at the extended forecast tonight has me thinking we'll need to put in one more load of wood tomorrow.
Was browsing the web one night, reading and researching things related to tree felling and firewood, FHC was on one of the first few websearch pages.
Welcome CanadianShield, nice to meet ya. We got a real nice crew here, some serious, some silly, but all seriously addicted to all things wood. We also have other interests such as saws, splitters, anything else, and beer. Noticed I mentioned beer after the work is done! We also love pictures, the golden rule is "pics, or it didn't happen!"
Thanks NH mountain man. Great to be here. Fully agree about crackin' yer first after the work is done, the beer tends to get one slightly off track - not that that's a truly bad thing, but it does slow progress.
Mmmm, Maple! Nothing beats that aroma oitside. I always go downwind to get a big sniff! -5 outside (8:48), still 21 inside from last nights Maple burn. Won't burn until this evening again. (celcius)
Weather is warm but windy, +10 C I think (50 ish F), but looking like we're getting a 2 or 3 day blast of rain/snow/wind/cold in the near future. Burning almost as many firestarters as I am wood with this weather.
Wow, the never-ending winter! Hold on to that system would 'ya, don't send it east. We had wet snow all day yesterday, too warm for it to stick however.
