Guys in Southern Ohio and PA. Nasty storm heading your way. High winds and Hail. Was wondering whether windows were going to break but none did that I know off so far. Shredded the screens up though. Might want to put your good vehicles under cover. I'm just west of Dayton, Ohio and it's 6:40 EST. Hail was about 1/2"- 3/4" in diameter here.

We are expecting 2-3 inches out on the east coast of Mass starting mid-morning.

The ground is already saturated and the rivers and streams have peaked, not sure where it's all going to go??

Awesome pictures. I pray everyone comes through safely. We are on the very northern edge of the alert and not expected to get anything real nasty.

It hailed a little bit about 2 hours earlier and it was 70 degrees outside. In the low 60's when this hit.

In the middle pic you can see the steam coming off the pond from all the ice in it.

I've mowed twice already and it was tall both times.

I'm guessing the winds were 50 - 70 MPH as it forced water around the outsides of the new vinyl windows onto the floor. It was going completely sideways there for a while.

That's quite a bit of hail there Kevin!
Mowed twice! That's the first thing in your pic I noticed was how green your grass was. If you look through these binoculars, OO you can see my lawn color:D

We have family in Springfield and it seems they are often 10* warmer than us.
    Well that's no good!

The wind just kicked up some here I ran out quick and grabbed a wheelbarrow of splits to jam the indoor rack full for the next couple days. I'm guessing the wind is the front edge of this weather you Ohio folks are seeing. Forecasted to get 2 1/2" of rain from tonight through Friday then change to snow so it could get interesting! Everyone stay safe, warm and batten down the hatches!:singingintherain:

Something incredible in itself is a microburst. But lately, something called a "wet microburst" or "rainbomb" has people talking. The weird thing is, our fear mongering weather people are rarely talking about this fairly new phenomenon.

That's freaking bananas. I bet that kind of action can cause a lot of damage in a very unexpecting way..

Oh yea..... i remember about 2 years ago, one came right through the back of the property. Everything i saw was gray and sideways. Shed lifted, trees down everywhere. Maybe we saw a tornado, not sure. Scary as chit though!

People typically see greenish sky's when there is a chance for a tornado, and its all the hail that really makes this color, often accompanied by tornadoes or rotation. Be safe!

I got hit a couple years ago by what they termed a wind shear. I was the first hit. Totaled a barn, blew away a post and beam pond shelter, trees down everywhere, pushed in an insulated garage door, Folded a windmill and ripped signs off at the ground.

    Storm

Picked my neighbors 80' x 100' barn and "relocated it" across the road. Debris was 2 miles away. I was home when it happened and it was howling like a freight train. as I ran to the basement, papers were blowing across the floor and the new windows were shut. Pushing passed the seals that hard.
