Perfectly stated LW. I did the weldment job myself on my Invincible. Big job. Being a manual lite stove I got 16 years out of the auger tube before the hole opened up.

    Hello
    In Stove mode,
If there is a 6 RPM motor then how about changing it to a 4 RPM motor?

What are the pros and cons on that???

well, all feed would still be calculated based upon an assumed 6 rpm, and depending upon the feed rate setting, you'd likely still burn deep into the throat of the burnpot, depending upon heat demand......not sure why youd want to do this.

Do you want me to explain exactingly how they work? I thought this was a family safe site? The Mods will get on my case.

If the stove was set to constant burn or stove mode and the auger motor was 4 RPMs instead of RPMs then the # of pellets fed in one auger rotation would be less and reduce thus reducing the heat output like the OP wanted?

Also if the control panel is older then a new control panel may help. There are changes to the heat algorithm that we never hear about.

Maybe the best way to reduce the heat is to put in a P61a for the shoulder season. I have 2 - P61a-2 stoves so if I want to increase the heat on the cold days, I just flip on the other stove. :)

Fine for the feed not so good for the combustion air side depending.

or, if in STOVE/CONSTANT burn mode, simply turn it down?
offspec feed motor installed = voided warranty

Don't forget its urine pressurization and poop softening abilities.

I have had that happen once or twice in the 8 years I have been burning. Some kind of hiccup that had me scratching my head and questioning the igniter but it hasnt repeated.

Only the Hermoan users are perfect
