Hopefully, this warm weather today will begin the thawing process.

    This weather is ridiculous.

40° should start the melt process.

Got a spare gallon of windshield washer fluid in the trunk ?
Keep the vehicle washer fluid tank full !
I put on new wiper blades when break up starts too.

Sure wish we'd see 40 here. Was really happy to see 32 today though. Forecast does not look great. Maybe rain on Thursday but next week it is back to the cold all week.

Shoveled snow for 3 1/2 hrs. in snowstorm conditions at work this morning, spent
2 hrs. clearing the storm sewers so the sidewalks wouldn't flood from melting snow in 40 degree temps in the afternoon.

The spray off vehicles in this weather does make a mess on cars and windshields. I was worried about rapid melting, but I do like that my walks are finally clean for the first time in a long while.

I can finally see my wood pile better. I'm in better shape than I feared. I would estimate somewhere around 1.5 cord left plus a bunch of logs I never got split. Not that that's great, but it'll get me through this year. Days like this, I don't burn much.

Preparation for flooding going on now ?
Lots of snow melt & it don't sink into frozen ground.
    Rubber boot time !
