I feel you, Bill...I've taken several "sick" days in the past few months when the wood fairy pays a visit...most recently it was the remaining Ash trunk at a coworker's place that needed felling + removal...sick day well spent!
ReelFaster I don't blame you for wanting all that wood. If it were me, I'd get it all as quickly as possible! Congratulations. As for the neighbor and how he got the trees, that is his problem; not yours.
If the neighbor cut the stumps close to the ground,those California city slickers will never notice,no evidence.
