    Fixing some fence on the property and this one had uprooted and fell over on the fence. Love the smell of sass. I said I was done until fall but couldn't resist this. Easy splitting fast dry. Hot out today this first day of spring feels more like summer 82°

    I burned some sassafras this winter. I found really good to cut up thin for use as kindling as well.

    Yep makes great kindling. You can almost split it by staring at it. Smells really good too.

    Wow Rebel, you beat us out by 30 degrees.

    FatBoy85 the smell will stay somewhat but as with all wood, the smell is in the sap so it will get less and less as time goes. Just split it again!
