...this followed me home. Hope to test it out this weekend. Should be able to use the chains from my DCS401.

Hope it works out for you! Did you ask if they were selling it, or was it for sale in the rental department? Cheers!

Got it for the smaller stuff that does not require the 365SP. About 3 lbs lighter and people seem to like them. I have the DCS401 that had a 16" bar until I had someone work on the recoil starter. They lost the bar and put a 14" bar on it. Between that and the fact it took him forever to get it back to me I just had a bad taste in my mouth for the saw so hope to sell it and use this one instead.
Yes Home Depot rental department was selling it. $193 so I hope I did OK. Like I said, I have quite a few 56 link chains from the 401 so it will be nice to use them.

Thanks, I hope it works out. Was thinking maybe a 550XP but too much money for me. Now I need to clean up my DCS401 and see what I can get out of it:whistle:

Picture says 4300, which is the same as a 420 or 421 I believe. Never seen one at HD here.

    I paid $194 for my 6401 :D

4300, same as the Dolmar 621 I believe. I tend to see more 6421's, but already have my Husky 365SP so no need for it.

Did 3 cuts in 12-14" elm. Seems to pull well but I need to change out the safety chain. Idle is high so I need to adjust that. I think it will be a winner. Keep everyone posted.

I bought a DCS 5121 this winter. Starts so nice, and has plenty of power.
