Might be fun for newer members for you to retell how you ended up with your wonderful canine clan:)

Joco is gettin to fat, so now he's on a diet and we had blood work done the other day, everything came back great.
Out gettin some exercise in his new Walking jacket today, he likes to eat grass dead or alive.
After walking backwards around the house for a bit   I put him outside and he got used to the new jacket in about 10 minutes

It's time for sure down here in East NC. Won't be long before ticks, red bugs, and skeeters are thick

I've been involved with golden retriever rescue since 1985. I've had them since then too. Most of my friends have goldens and we get together often. The two I have now are my first non rescue dogs. Both were a gift from dear friends in Austin Texas who were long time golden breeders. My boy, Luke, turned out to be drop dead gorgeous and the breeder asked if I would be willing to show him. She would pay the full boat. When he turned 1 he went for his clearances. Hips, eyes, heart, elbows, DNA, you name it. He started winning his shows and the offers to breed him started coming in. He's sired many litters, the most recent was last Fall. He's retired from the show circuit now. (He's 10) We co-own one of his sons and he is with us half the year. They have a special relationship and are so happy together. We have custody of our ganddaughter and she has a long haired chihuahua so we've got quite the menagerie. Here are a few pictures.

Thanks for sharing the entire family and their friends with us - those are beautiful pups. I'll bet that little furball Chihuahua rules over them all

LOL! Yes, how did you know? Nobody messes with the little 10 pound dog. She has told them that they will die a horrible death if they do!

Ouch! 2nd one on this foot for this dog, I think he is ripping them on the crusted snow or hidden objects underneath, had to take him to the vet for this one for removal, they took the whole nail off
    image.jpeg
    image.jpeg image.jpeg

He wouldnt let the vet anywhere near him, so they had to put him out. Prolly have to keep him on the DL for awhile

Ow! I know, from my dogs, that hurts like crazy! We try to keep the nails as short as possible to prevent them from catching on anything. In the summer, it's not so bad because they get worn down. I hope he feels better soon! Poor guy.
