IMG_1330.JPG IMG_1329.JPG new FHC member here, just signed up yesterday. Definitely lucked out today and learned that the town had cut up a big white ash tree nearby. Got three pickup truck loads in all, still a bunch more there, but the pieces are way too big for one person to lift. Banner scrounging day and the dog, while appearing stoic about the whole thing, really thought it was pretty cool too.

I have been on hearth for a while. I have lurked on fhc for a while too, but for no real reason, did not sign up until recently. I am about a year and a half ahead with wood, which has been a work in progress, but love the scrounging!

Welcome. Always nice to see another New Englander join the madness. I'm at the top of 395. Bang a right once in Ma, and go about 1/2 hr.

Welcome and nice score - I love ash - splits easy (normally), dries pretty quickly, and burns very well - good work! Cheers!

Thanks! He's turned 1 in December. We got him when he was teeny tiny, He's a great friend! Loves to hike and will usually steal one or two splits on me when I'm working on the wood.
