It's raining ice pellets here. Got the 8hp snow thrower and the 37 hp Kubota all ready to go for the a.m. festivities. Wish me, and everyone else on the NE of the US luck over night.
I've heard that luck can be defined as when preparation meets opportunity....that's much better than winging it! Stay safe mike bayerl
NOAA is saying 8-12 for our area, two other sites have us getting 20 plus. We put in another two loads of Cherry this morning and the Mahindra is ready to move some white stuff. I have one trail that I'll clear tomorrow morning and then make sure we're set for for any power outages.
We're in the 10-16" range. Fueled the truck and put the plow on today. Brought in wood Saturday. Got my bread, milk and eggs today. Guess we'll be making French toast tomorrow...
Been really cold and windy here for a few days. Warmed up to 31 now. Ground is cold but not froze. This is setting up to be the perfect storm. Snow should last till early next week then a few days it should be in the mid 40's
We may not get any appreciable snow fall here in the Blue Ridge of SW VA, but the return of temps is guaranteed... Of course, it is still winter.
Ive always thought or read, when preparation meets opportunity there is sucess! Got the sleds gassed up for a powder day or two. A few local sourced forcasts are now up to 24"!!!! Bring it on!
Just checked the Weather Channel online. Seems they don't believe the National Weather service. They're calling 4-8". Guess that puts us in the 4-16" range... Either way, we're both off tomorrow.
23* and heavy snow here. Theres atleast 2" on the ground the dpw switched from salting to plowing. Ill give it another 45 mins and go out and do my first salt/shovel of the day.
