Just hang on........ 18 fluffy inches coming your way! Current temp - 3°F with a LIGHT breeze headed up to 15° today. Burning ash and birch
Loaded up the OWB last night about 7:30pm with Black Birch, Red Oak, and Maple, oh and a few splits of SBH ah! the bestest firewood.
Spruce, burning hot, its frickin cold and blowin. Alarm goes off at 950, not sure what temp the cat t-stat is set for.
25 here this morning, supposed to hang right there through the day. Just loaded the stove with cherry.
about zero degrees.. winds... still 20 to 25.. supposed to slow down later ... so home fires burning.. ash, maple cherry... Well Seasoned love that video clip!
Thanks Brian, that is priceless, I'm laughing, a lot. I can remember my kid brother doing the same thing so many years ago screaming for maaaaaaaa!
Up to 7 deg now with the wind blowing, it's still sub zero wind chill, it's a heat wave! Firing the Resolute hard to get the temps up in the far ends of the house. March in the north woods is still very much winter. That's why we don't plant the garden till Memorial Day.
Just barely below 0 last night. It was clear, bright and cold. I don't think it got to less than -10; hopefully that'll be it for awhile as it warmed up overnight.
Up to 14 now, still below 0 with the windchill though. I have some punky maple, and slightly green way too thin for the stacks oak in the stove to get a coal bed for the eco bricks.
16° here this morning- Just brought another 1/3 cord into the basement today, we've got another big snow storm heading our way for Tuesday and Wednesday so the burning continues.
Current temp 6°F headed down to - 4°F tonight. Loaded the oakleaf with a bunch of ash should keep us in the mid sixties.
21ºF outside couldn't quite overheat the place today, must be all the curved, twisted, crooked oak tops in the bins today.
Looking at -17 C and a bit of wind, somewhere around 0 F or slightly below. Some super dry weathered chunks of poplar doing the trick.
Bernie has us in the 3-6 range for snowfall and others have us 6-8. We'll be putting more wood in tomorrow before the storm. How much are you in for?
