Ok, I'll get er back on the tracks. CHeath how did you go about getting the stove for 600? I've been toying with the furnace idea and that would make the choice a whole lot easier.

Well I sold my first one back in 2013 to a buddy. I have regretted it ever since so I have been watching them online. Lowe's had them for $846 but couldn't get me one on the southeast. I was ready to buy it but Kentucky was it.

That stumped me because England is not far from me. Anyhow I called them. They said that this stove is not EPA certified and so if it's not sold by May that they couldn't sell it. So to be watching for markdowns. I've read and heard every story under the sun about the new EPA regs so I have no idea who who to believe but, the prices have fallen almost 60% so someone knows something.

I just kept a watch on Home Depot since they could deliver site to store for free. In the last month, this stove was $1499, $1299, $1019, $999 and finally I logged on the morning of the 7th and saw it was $649. I hit the add to cart button so fast I almost broke it lol.

Some folks have went in and looked and the price was NOT $649 in their area and I cannot explain this. Maybe inventory is high in my area???

    Good luck

Thanks. What's your zip? Maybe I can buy it using your local store and get them to ship it out to NY?

1,199 for my zip but 659 at a store about 45 miles away, strange. Well now I guess I have some decisions to make. Nice stove CHeath, congrats. Looking forward to some install pics and info on how she's running. Enjoy.

Thanks. I plan on doing this one right. Right as in excel pipe, 45*angle and DRY WOOD. In 2013, I just wanted to get it up and running and had bad fuel. The same year my heat pump died and I replaced the entire unit and it was just easier to hit the button plus a friend "needed" the stove more than me so I let it go.

Fast forward 4 years and I'm older and colder lol and more frugle. I'm gonna give it another whirl.

Hope this works out really great for you and that would really make it a super buy. Great price and great stove and enjoyable cheap heat.
