The gas or sewer company is putting new lines in by the house. They topped the tree this week. Then Thursday they pulled it out and put in a empty lot with some more brush. So I extracted this morning. I used the 660 with the 25" bar. It didn't look as big as it was just driving by, could have used a 32" bar though. ... On my list to get. So I took the JD down to help in the removal, would have never got it any other way. Here's the load...
Wow that's a lot of weight for that tractor, I have a bigger tractor then that and I know how heavy the wood can get. It looks like your tractor can handle it well though.
Yea, the two other pieces I could lift just barely. It was enough to get them on the trailer. But I couldn't do a lot of the work I do with out it, the strap really helps while doing this type of lifting....
???? I posted closer pics of the wood on a different post. Worst case I need some shoulder wood any ways.
Trying to see what model your JD is. Has the same bucket as mine, so I think it's close. Mine is the 575. I'm not sure I could lift that piece of wood though it surprises me sometimes. Nice load.
Its the X720 with the 45 loader. The load capacity is suppose to be about 700 to 800 pounds right off the ground. The two chunck on the trailer maxed it out. It just barely lifted them in it.
Yep, mine will only lift about half that. I've grunted real hard too while lifting too much stuff… didn't help… at all …
Nice looking Sycamore......good luck splitting that lol Even with hydraulics it can be a challenge. If it was me I'd just put the biggest saw you got to that bad boy.... Usually has spiral interlocked grain, like American Elm,but a finer texture like the Maples or Beech.
